We were asked to look at the problem of providing a platform lift solution that could offer access to certain areas of the cathedral whilst ensuring that it would not affect the fabric of the building and as far as possible blend into the surroundings.

The solution is an inclined platform lift. Working closely with the architect, a specific colour was chosen. In addition, the steel supports holding the rail in place were specially designed to reflect the architecture of the cathedral whilst remaining practical to produce.
